Unusually broad for a Malaysian maternity offer: the discount explicitly covers normal delivery, normal with EPIDURAL, normal with nitrous oxide, vacuum delivery, caesarean, and EMERGENCY caesarean INCLUDING out-of-office-hour deliveries - the exact scenarios that void a fixed package at most other hospitals. Also 1 postnatal home visit (first 100 patients), postnatal nutrition and lactation counselling, and a discount at Sunway Sanctuary postnatal care.
Excludes / watch-outs: Base hospital charges are not published, so the 35% cannot be turned into a ringgit figure. Excludes ultrasound, additional nursing in specialised areas, extra procedures/medications/investigations, ANY complications arising in mother or baby during or after delivery, and complicated delivery including pre-term, twins and pre-eclampsia. So an emergency caesarean is covered but a COMPLICATED one is not. Self-paying patients only; resident consultant only. NOTE the RM1,988 / RM26,800 / RM33,000 on that page are a vaccination package and two knee replacements, not maternity.

Price is not the safest way to choose
If your pregnancy carries any added risk — a previous caesarean, twins, placenta praevia, gestational diabetes, pre-eclampsia — ask each hospital what level of NICU it runs, whether an anaesthetist is on site around the clock for an emergency caesarean, and whether it holds its own blood bank. A cheaper package at a hospital that has to transfer you mid-emergency is not the cheaper option.
Most mothers also pick their obstetrician first and deliver wherever that doctor practises. If you already have one you trust, start by asking which hospitals they admit to — then compare those.
